9. Investor type and domicile

While accessing the Carnot-Website the first time users have to indicate the investor type and the domicile. The following offer of information and documents of funds exclusively addresses a person who complies with the particular investor type and domicile. A fake selection of investor type or domicile can lead to a disclosure of information and documents of funds that are not available for the user. Each user must correctly disclose the investor type and the domicile. The user cannot hold Carnot liable for damages or expenses by having disclosed a wrong investor type or domicile.

To clarify to users in Switzerland the term „professional investor” within the selection buttons means a “qualified investor” or “professional investor” within the meaning of Art. 10 Par. 3, 3bis or 3ter of the Collective Investment Schemes Act (“CISA”). The term “private investor” within the selection buttons means an investor that is not a “qualified investor” or “professional investor” within the meaning above.

10. Investment risks

Investors have to be aware of the investment risks inherent in share classes of investment funds including the possible loss of the total investment. Past performance should not be taken as an indication or guarantee of future performance. The price of, value of and income from securities or funds can fall as well as rise so the investor‘s share price can at redemption be lower than the subscription price. Certain investments are subject to high market volatility, and may experience sudden and large changes in their value. In addition funds mainly investing in Emerging Markets and/or in equities of small capitalized companies and/or high yield bonds are principally exposed to higher risk. Ratings of different rating agencies can be published on the Carnot-Website. The copyrights of these ratings belong to the rating agency that assigned a rating.
