Strategy
The Circular World Index includes companies with products and technologies for the circular economy. Carnot Capital selects as index members the leading companies in the various target markets. Only established, profitable companies with a good balance sheet are selected. The tracker certificate was issued by Bank Vontobel.
Mountains of waste are growing, while resource reserves are shrinking. Sustainable use of our natural resources is more urgent than ever, as overexploitation and waste disposal are causing ever greater ecological and health problems. Particularly with regard to developing countries, the solution to the problems cannot be sufficiency and prohibition, but advanced technologies for a circular economy.
Target Sectors
The companies in the Circular World Index offer products and services that help us move toward a circular economy. Natural resources considered include water, metals, pulp, oil, natural gas and farmland. Topics represented in the index include wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, waste collection, sorting and recycling technology, sharing economy, bioplastics, renewable energy, soil decontamination, farmland management, food preservation, crop farming and fish farming.
